Living with Healing Herbs - Five Summer Herbal Workshops with Medical Herbalist Maryna Floren
Welcome to our Summer Workshops at The MareGold Centre While Russell has been building cabins and structures, I have been busy at my newly opened Herbal Medicine Clinic in Granville Ferry as well as in the MareGold garden growing vegetables and harvesting herbs.
After five years of growing and developing, The MareGold Centre is opening its grounds for these special workshops on Thursdays in June and July. Visit our oceanside retreat and step into our gardens to learn about the healing power of herbs. These summer workshops are designed to introduce beginners to Herbal Medicine. I will teach you how to identify medicinal herbs in the wilderness and how to start your own herb garden. The herbal adventure will continue with harvesting techniques, drying, storing and processing The workshops will show you how to make numerous common herbal remedies with samples to take with you. Finally, I will discuss the food we eat and explore a healthy balanced diet and the nutrients contained in plants.
All five workshops will be running at The MareGold Healthy Living Centre in Victoria Beach. Five consecutive Thursdays, June 23rd till July 21st 10am till 4pm. The workshops will take place outdoors in the gardens, field, or forest and indoors in one of the various buildings at MareGold. The address is 495 Granville Road. As far as food, bring your own lunch. MareGold will provide tea and snacks. We can all eat together overlooking the ocean or in the garden.
You can book all five workshops for $399.00 or choose one, two or three of the workshops to attend for $89.00 a day. If you want to attend but you are on a low income or experiencing some financial struggles please let me know and we can discuss a possible discount.
If you choose to stay overnight; The MareGold Centre offers a selection of interesting cabins to stay in. Participants of the workshops receive a 20% discount from cabin rates.
